Product Description
During the process of oil-water acidifying operation, the formation may contain ferric component (e.g. FeSO4 ) which forms free ferric ions under the action of acidizing liquid. Besides, ground pipe-manifold and underground pipe-string will unavoidably form some ferric ions under the erosion and corrosion of acidizing fluid, and the ferric ions will along with the acidizing fluid penetrate into the formation; these ferric ions exist as free ions in active acid, but following the reaction of acid rock, the activity of acidizing fluid reduces gradually; when pH value rises to a certain level, these free ferric ions in the form of Fe(OH) 3 precipitate will deposit in the formation, and this results in secondary precipitate which blocks the throats of formation pores, and thus leads to deterioration of acidizing effect.
Our high-temperature ferric ion stabilizer is mainly composed of organic complexant and reducing agent and other compounds. When high-temperature ferric ion stabilizer is added into acidizing liquid, the free ferric ion ions can be effectively complexed, and the ferric hydroxide deposit (which may damage the formation by blocking) caused by reduction of pH of residual fluid can be prevented in the formation.
Our ferric ion stabilizer has high temperature tolerance, the maximum application temperature is as high as 160?C; it has strong capability in stabilizing ferric ions, therefore, it’s an efficient additive for oil reservoir acidizing protection in oilfields.

Using method
High-temperature ferric ion stabilizer is well compatible with acidizing fluid, and it’s added into the acidizing fluid and mixed evenly before use. The concentration can be decided according to the ion content of the formation, and the concentration of acidizing liquid for field application is generally 1~2%.

This product is made of galvanized metal pail, net mass 200 ± 1kg; product stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place.
